How our weighted plush is made

The weight comes from a glass bead core held in the center of the body, surrounded by recycled polyester fiber fill. Centering the beads matters: it keeps the weight resting where you place the animal instead of sliding into the paws, so the pressure stays steady across a lap, chest or shoulders. The outer fabric is soft recycled plush.

Choosing a weight

Our 1 and 2 pound animals suit younger children and shoulder use. The 3 and 4 pound animals suit older kids, teens and adults who want noticeable lap pressure. If you are unsure which to choose, the lighter option tends to get used more. Reach out if you would like help picking a size.
